Seminal Overview:
Seminal is the first global copyright register for art IP, that allows artists and estates to list and register their copyright. Once registered, Seminal allows artists and estates to:
- Sell their rights
- License their IP for consumer products and integrate art into the brand strategy of other businesses
- License their IP (passively) through major tech platforms (i.e. Samsung, Meta, OpenAI)
- Screen for rights infringement on platforms and marketplaces (i.e. Amazon, Shopify, Ebay and Etsy)
Seminal is a monetisation engine helping artists and estates get paid every time their art is reproduced digitally or physically.
In April 2023, Seminal raised $3m cornered by Investible VC (based out of Sydney/Singapore).
Funds allocated to platform build (currently in Beta testing) with global release ~ circa 2 weeks.
Seminal is engaged in advanced discussions with:
- Major brands and manufacturers for consumer product licensing
- Large online marketplaces for infringement screening
- Tech manufacturers for blanket licensing
- Well-known estates for catalogue sales
